À propos de l'échange de manuels
Welcome to the Thompson Rivers University Students' Union (TRUSU) Book Exchange!
With the ever-increasing cost of new textbooks, the Book Exchange is designed to help students like you to save money when you buy and sell used textbooks.
The TRUSU Book Exchange allows members to connect directly with each other through an online textbook "auction". Whether you are looking to make some money back by selling textbooks for classes you've completed, or looking to save some money by buying textbooks you need directly from fellow students, the Book Exchange is a great service for you! No middleman means lower prices and higher returns - the money stays in the hands of students.
Through the Canadian Federation of Students, the TRUSU Book Exchange has now gone national! You can search locally, in our region, or across the country to get the books you need for the best possible price.
This service is wholly owned and operated by your Students' Union and the Canadian Federation of Students.
Costs: There is no cost to sell your books using this system. TRUSU provides the forum for the sale with no fees for any participant. For each book you submit for sale, you set your own price. For each purchasing student, the price set is the price paid.
Process for Seller:
Set Up an Account
At the top right corner of the page, click the “Signup” button and complete the form as instructed. To log in at another time you will be asked for your Username (which is your email) and Password (which you set independently).
Add Books to Your Account
Click on the “Add a New Listing” button above.
Fill in the required information in the form. Please note that you have the option of including attachments, such as a solutions manual or CD, at the bottom of the page.
Accept a Request to Purchase Your Listing
When a request to purchase is made for your listing, you will receive a notification by email. You can then contact the user who made the request via the messaging system and agree to a time and place to complete the transaction. Please note that transactions with users from beyond Kamloops may not be possible in person, and will require an agreement of other means of delivery and payment.
Marking your Book as Sold
Once you have sold your listed item(s), mark it as sold to avoid further requests. Click the “Dashboard” button at the top of the page to view all of your listings. Click the “Edit” pencil logo on the listing that has been sold, and then click “Mark as Sold” at the top of the page.
